CONSTRUCTING THE FUTURE
Mechanical heat recovery ventilation (HRV)

Mechanical heat recovery ventilation (HRV)

Each ECO2H2OUSE is modelled to maintain the maximum possible airtightness; consequently, the building will be less well ventilated. Opening a window can ventilate a property but it is bad for both the indoor climate and your energy efficiency. Most mechanical HRV systems are 80–95% efficient and use minimal energy during operation.

Mechanical HRV technology offers the perfect solution: fresh air, better climate control and energy efficiency. The HRV unit is a stand-alone box, stored in the loft space, that employs a counterflow heat exchanger between the inbound and outbound airflow to recover heat before it is lost to atmosphere and prevent cold air entering the house.
